Some electrical problems should not wait
Something has stopped working, tripped out or does not look right. Call us on 0410 818 405, tell us what is happening, and we will let you know what we can do.
A lot of problems can be narrowed down over the phone, and some can be resolved without a visit at all. If it is something you can safely check yourself, such as whether the issue is on one circuit or the whole property, we will talk you through it.
When not to wait for an appointment
If someone has had a shock or you can smell burning, turn the power off at the switchboard if it is safe to do so. The next step is to call us or call Western Power on 131351. If you think you need to then call 000.

From your call to a fix
01 Call and describe it. Tell us what has happened, what you have tried and what is still working. The detail is often what solves it.
02 We narrow it down on the phone. Some faults can be identified, and occasionally resolved, without anyone attending.
03 We tell you what we can do. Straight about timing and cost, so you can decide what happens next. We would rather be honest than promise something we cannot deliver.
04 We attend and fix it. Diagnosed properly rather than patched, tested on completion, and the area left clean.
A few things that help us fix it faster
Note when it started
And what was happening at the time, including anything that was switched on.
Check the extent
Whether it affects one area or the whole property.
Look at the switchboard
Note whether anything has tripped, and whether it will reset.
Clear access
Have the switchboard reachable and free of storage.
Set the appliance aside
Keep anything you suspect unplugged so we can test it.
Take a photo
Of the board, the fitting or the damage. It often saves a trip.
